7 July 2026 — Crown Princess Victoria

Mark Paull wrote to Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess asking whether he might send a one-page briefing on research concerning people who dose insulin every day. The letter described ESP360° as addressing a “missing decision layer” in diabetes care and asked for guidance toward relevant Swedish institutions, including Barndiabetesfonden.

20 July 2026 — His Majesty The King

A separate letter to His Majesty The King requested permission to send a one-page briefing, described ESP360° and its patient-safety motivation, and asked for guidance toward Swedish institutions where the work might serve people living with type 1 diabetes.

12 August 2026 — Royal Court reply

Court Secretary Anita Söderlind replied on behalf of His Majesty the King. The Royal Court thanked Mark Paull for his letter, stated that His Majesty was unable to help personally, and specifically recommended contacting Karolinska Institutet (KI), adding: “They might be able to help you.”

27 August 2026 — Casa de S.M. el Rey

Cristóbal Moreno, Jefe de la Secretaría de Despacho, acknowledged the writings sent to Their Majesties during July concerning Mark Paull’s personal and professional trajectory with type 1 diabetes and his research. The letter conveyed Their Majesties’ thanks for the information.

The Royal Household stated that the referenced report could be sent to the Casa Real “para su conocimiento” — for its information — and identified the Ministerio de Sanidad and the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades as appropriate bodies to which the work could also be presented.
